Posing with my wall sculpture Lest Water Cease to Flow, plus some views of the work with its immediate neighbours, at the launch of the Melbourne and Victorian Artists @mava_collective MAVA Art Prize/Sustainability exhibition in the Memo Gallery, Healesville.

Open 12-9, Tuesday, Wed, Sat 12-4 Thurs Sun until 8 December. Make a day trip of it, enjoy lunch and coffee, and a meander around the interesting range of shops in town. Or alternatively, visit the exhibition and the Healesville Sanctuary.

Created at River Studios from thin, water-stained ply, a rusted barbecue lid, a white-stained piece of sheet metal, and miscellaneous rusted pieces of metal. The studios are managed by @creativespaces for the @cityofmelbourne .

Mythical, Mystical, found object sculpture made from a desk drawer and pieces of wood found on the streets of Melbourne. It’s great to see my work on a plinth, casting shadows against white walls, as opposed to in a cluttered studio!

Now in the Sculpture Now exhibition at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery, Vere Street, Collingwood until 27 October. Open Thurs-Sun, 11am-4pm. With works by 45 contemporary sculptors, it is an amazing exhibition!

Now for something completely different: Pebble Coasters 1 and 2. A friend in Sydney, who hails originally from Mexico City, asked whether I ever made anything practical. Here is my attempt at drink coasters - hence my choice of music. 🤣 The tiles are from the laneways of Melbourne, the flat stones from the beaches of Melbourne, the Sunshine Coast and Darwin.
