Hi, I’m NancyDee

I am a found object assemblage artist and jewellery designer in Melbourne, Australia. I create wall sculptures, 3D sculptures and brooches from metal, wood, tiles and plastic that I pick up off the streets of cities where I live or travel.

My art is inspired by a strong interest in sustainability through repurposing and upcycling. My works have been described variously as ‘quirky’, ‘imaginative’, ‘environmentally aware’, ‘industrial’ and ‘geometric’ – and occasionally, even ‘beautiful’.

In Australia my brooches and wall sculptures are available through Incube8r Gallery in Fitzroy and online. In addition, my small wall sculptures are available at How Exciting (the Proudkind Melbourne pop-up shop at 512 Elizabeth Street across from the Queen Victoria Market), Dimora Designs in Geelong and Joel Gallery in Altona. Several of my larger wall sculptures are at FOUND:ling Reusery in Colac. My solo exhibition, Cityscapes from City Streets, is on from 11-30 April at the How Exciting Gallery. Open 11am-7pm, Wed – Sun.
